I'm really sorry being MIA for so long..I can't even post a good one right now..I really don't have anything to post as of the moment because my days are so routinary that I can't even find an occasion to dress up or play makeup..We are very casual at work so I don't really fix myself that nice hehe can you imagine, I just wear shirt, pants and sneakers everyday at work? So I'm really excited for this Christmas break..it's a long weekend and for sure many events to go to and I promise you all, I'll come back full force on that long weekend..I hope you can wait for me for another week ^_^

Thank you all for being understanding! I love you guys..I really miss blogging everyday and reading your posts..till next week! Mwah*

Just a quick hello + update

Hello everyone!

I can't believe it..the week flew by so fast and I was unable to post anything! so sorry guys! I was so tired this week that I can't go online this past week..We have many guests from Japan and Ormoc City this weekend..they arrived early this morning and will be staying until Monday...this is the main reason why I'm so tired...My day goes by like this:

4:45am - Wake up
6am - Go to office
7pm - Arrives home from work
7:30-10pm - Doing chores and/or cleaning the house for the guests
10:30pm - Sleep

I was like this for the past 2 weeks! I'm so tired until now..Anyways, my family and the guests went staright to Tagaytay from the airport and will come back tomorrow afternoon..I asked to be left here so I can finish up cleaning and be able to recharge for another week of work..I really need to rest a lot...can you believe I can fell asleep even when I was just sitting? I'm that tired :(

Oh, I want to share the reason why I was unable to come to the bazaar last Sunday and Monday...

I was accidentally bitten by my cat..It's actually my fault..I accidentally stepped on her while I was hanging the clothes that I washed that morning...She have a habit of following me everywhere and I was unable to notice her sitting behind me when I stepped back to hang more clothes...boom! she instinctively reacted..I have a big wound and some scratches on my lower left leg (near the ankles) now...Since the skin got broken, I need some anti-rabies shots and my arm is very tender for three days because of the shot..so I just stayed home...

That's it guys..I did not have an interesting week right? It's actually a very tiring week...but I'm glad for one thing..I was able to get myself new books! After debating a long time if I'm going to buy Twilight Saga box set or not, I gave in and bought one yesterday hehe..I'm really happy that I now have my own books (I just borrowed before) ^_^

Till next time! I have a lot of products that I'm testing out for you guys..I still can't decide so I want to wait until I'm sure before I give my review...

Thank you for dropping by my blog! Bye! ^_^

Review: Sweeny Todd + a tag

Hello everyone! Here's another review for you guys but this time it's a theater/play review.
Me and my bf loves watching plays by Repertory Philippines at Greenbelt 1 and the one in UP Diliman since we were in college. We always make it a point to see if there are some plays we would like to watch that play season every year. We usually love musicals but they are much more expensive than the regulars.
According to our friends before, our hobby was not meant for college students haha because the tickets are usually expensive..but as the saying goes, if you like something, you'll definitely do everything to make it happen. We were quite glad that now (since we have jobs already) we are able to pay for the tickets without needing to really be thrifty at all times or ask for our parents for the money.

Last Saturday, we watched Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at Greenbelt 1 around 3:30pm. We can't attend the one at 8pm because it would be hard for us to go home since we live in Novaliches and that's a far place from makati. My bf is actually really excited for this when he knew that Repertory Philippines will be doing his favorite movie. We were lucky to be able to still get tickets in the lower orchestra coz when we went to the ticket outlet at Greenbelt 1, there were only 5 seats left so we immediately grabbed the two. It's a little expensive but my bf didn't mind (he paid for both haha) spending for that hehe ^_^
I've also watched the movie and I liked it too..Johnny Depp as Sweeny Todd is great so I was looking forward for this too. And I can safely say that this is a great play!

What I love about this:
- The actors and actresses are great. Even the extras sing beautifully.
- The set is perfectly constructed. They were able to create different "sets" for different scenes using 3 movable structures only. It was really well thought off and constructed at that.
- The lead roles are superb. They were able to portray the character smoothly. My fave is Mrs. Lovett. She is so beautiful and perfect for the role.
- The orchestra (I think it's Filharmonic) is great too. The music is great even though they were unable to use a real piano for it and some other instruments because of lack of space at the bottom of the stage.
- And the fact that they used the same pieces is a plus since the music is the story.

What I don't like about it:
- the one who played Anthony is really short for the actress who played Joanna. Although I love their acting and singing, I can't get past the height difference coz it's very obvious.
- I also don't like the one who portrayed Toby. He's supposed to be a kid but they did not get one. hmmm I know that it would be difficult to cast a kid for a role like that so I understand. It's just a disappointment since I love the character in the movie.
- The killing scenes is not as bloody as the one in the movie which is understandable. Movies have the capacity to do it with special effects while plays need to use props for the blood to ooze..they did it well live but I still prefer the bloody one haha

Over-all Rating: 4/5. We enjoyed it very much and I can say the money and time is worth it. Really entertaining if you're into musicals.
That's it! I prefer the movie over the play but the play has a lot more scenes that they cut in the movies. So I guess, I shouldn't compare since they are great for their own division. What about you? DO you love watching plays too? ^_^

I was tagged by the lovely Emily of Pink Monkey last thanksgiving. Even though we don't have Thanksgiving here in my country, I'll still do her tag:

"What are you thankful for?"
I thank God for:
- my family... because they are very supportive in all my endevours and they always love me unconditionally.
- my close friends who are always behind me..supporting me and loving me for who I am..We've been friends for a long time already but our friendship just gets stronger every passing time.
- my bf who is still beside me for the last 6 years and will still be beside me until we get old..I'm really thankful that our love and trust for each other got stronger too..I'm just happy that we're always happy.
- my pets who are all healthy and safe. I love them so much.
- my new job. I'm really so thankful that me and my bf were able to get a good job and we're together there. And the food is free too haha ^_^
- and lastly, I'm thankful for Him for granting my prayers regardless if they were small or big. I'm just so thankful for all the blessings that came my way.

What about you guys? What are you thankful for? I'm tagging everyone who wants to do the tag. Share them to me by posting the link here on the comment box ^_^
Till next time! Bye! ^_^

Movie Review: New Moon (Twilight Saga)

Hello everyone!

I was finally able to watch New Moon! Yippee! I was so happy last Thursday coz I was able to watch it with my bf after work..I actually wanted to watch it on its opening day but there are no more tickets that weekend and a week later it's still the same...I got nervous because the line for the ticket counter was so long and one of the two cinemas showing it was already full...the other one is nearly full and I got nervous that by the time I will buy my ticket, there will be no more seats available anymore..luckily, I was still able to get two seats for us..just in the nick of time actually hehe :)

Well, I actually went there not expecting too high because I did not love the Twilight movie..and I really hated K. Stewart (Bella) and R. Pattinson's (Edward) acting..they really ruined the role in my opinion (fans, don't hate me..it's just my view po) because they lack emotions..they don't look in love at all..so I went to the cinema really hoping they got better in their acting..I was able to hear a lot of good reviews on New Moon so I was really exicited to see if they were true.

Here's my opinion on the film..please take note that I am a huge fan of the book and not the actors...I watched because I like to see how the director made the story alive :)

What I like about it:
- This movie is way, way better than Twilight! The quality of the effects (especially how they showed the speed of the vampires and werewolves and also the transformations of the pact) is higher and well thought off.
- K. Stewart's acting got better..I'm so happy she improved..she's not monotonous anymore haha..although she did not act superb, at least she did good :)
- I love how they made Taylor Lautner (Jacob) look mature and fit for the role..I really got curious how they will make him "evolve" as a wolf and I'm happy to say, they met my expectation..though I wished Jacob is a lot taller coz in the book, he's over 6ft tall.
- The small details really did it for me..my fave is the steam coming off from Jacob during the raining scene with Bella. It really emphasized that Jacob is hot.
- The scene in Italy is good. Very detailed. I love the setting, just like what I imagined it to be while reading the book.
- I love Dakota Fanning as Jane! I really can't wait for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to be shown..she did a very good job even though it was a really short scene :)
- This movie made me want to read the book again (for the Nth time haha) ^_^

What I don't like:
- New Moon as a book is not really interesting for me..since it felt "bitin"..and that is what happened here in the movie too..I felt that the ending was cut off immediately..
- I still can't accept R. Pattinson as Edward hehe..I don't think he looks that handsome..sorry fans..I'm a team Jacob :)
- Jasper is still weird for me..I don't know why he looks that way..as if he is always scared and alert. I hope he improves too in the next film.
- if you have not read the book, you might not get the story..it jumps on some scenes.
- the tickets are always sold out

OVER-ALL RATING: 4/5 - I'll definitely be watching this again with my best friend or sister soon hehe. I just wish Bella and Jacob can be together in the story..anyways, that's impossible..so I'll try to let it go haha ^_^

I will suggest you watch this movie..it's better if you watch this with someone who loves the book too. Trust me on this hehe :)

By the way, due to some circumstances, I won't be able to go to the Noel Bazaar at World Trade Center anymore..maybe I can meet you guys in another time na lang..

thank you everyone! and happy long weekend! ^_^

An Invite (good news) + Rant (bad news)

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I have spent my weekend with my mom and grandma..we went shopping at Trinoma mall and SM North haha should I say mall-hopping? My grandma bought some stuff that she will need in Mindanao. She's going back there on Friday and will stay there for another 3 months or so before they (my grandpa is based there for his work) come back here at Manila for a visit. I hope you also had a great weekend like me ^_^

Also, I'm both ecstatic and sad today. Hmm which should I share first? I think I'll go for the bad news first..

Here goes...Half of my pocketbooks/novels collection are destroyed by termites! Yes, you heard that right. TERMITES!!! I hate them huhu I bought a wooden bookshelf a year ago to house my big collection of books in my room (I want to organize them and keep them in good condition). I know I'm risking it because our house is really infested with termites already (our house is already 22 years old and 70% of it is made of wood) and buying a furniture made of wood is a bad idea BUT I fell in love with the shelf. I really love the design and that it was on sale the day I bought it was an added plus. But now, I'm regretting getting it coz I was unable to notice the infestation a lot earlier since it has a cover in front. I only noticed it when I returned a novel inside the shelf and I tried to get another book from the back portion of the shelf. I was so shocked that the termites was there and one of my hard-to-find hard bound novel was already eaten (20% of it) and majority of the novels at the back part are damaged (around 25-30 pieces) already...I actually cried that first night I found out about it..I am still on the process of saving the books and looking for a new container for them..I might go back to buying plastic containers again...I still can't let it go..I can't help but feel so sad that the books I bought and cherished are not in pristine conditions now...

Check out what is a termite here.
