Review: Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

Hello guys! Thank you so much for continously dropping by here even though I can't post frequently..I really appreciate your support :)

I have a problem signing in these last 2 weeks at a couple of sites like proboards, blogger, facebook, email and youtube because of the new antivirus my cousin installed..It blocks almost all of the sites that you need to log in.. Luckily, I can now log in at facebook and youtube and also girltalk, but I still can't check my email and blog. I am now borrowing my brother's computer just so I can post a review to break my "silence" until my computer got fixed hehe ^_^

I am currently loving Etude House's Proof 10 eye primer. I have used MAC Painterly Paintpot for a couple of years and I prefer this a lot because this spreads easier on the lids and is not cakey even if you applied thickly.. and it's cheaper too!

Here are more reasons why I'm in love with it :)

- I love the cute packaging. It comes in a clear bottle with a do-foot appplicator. I love the fact that I can see how much product I still have left.

- It applies smoothly when I apply it on my lids. It's very easy to blend and your lids feels velvety smooth once the product dries up. Your eyeshadow also doesn't clump because of the smooth surface it created.
- Keeps my eye makeup stay put the whole day even in hot weather. I love the fact that even though I have very oily lids, my makeup doesn't crease and smudge. This haappened before with MAC paintpot and it's an ugly sight.

- Makes my eyeshadows more vibrant than without using any base.

- Very affordable and available locally. I got mine from SM the block branch.
What I don't like about Proof 10 eyeprimer:
- always out of stock. It took me months before I finally got a piece.
- I'm wondering if I can use up everything in the bottle especially on the sides because it's not shaped cylindrically like lipgloss. I hope I won't have a problem with like with UDPP packaging...
Over-all rating: 5/5. I will definitely repurchase this. I hope they make different colors too :)

This product is definitely a must try especially to those who don't want to shell out a big amount of money for eye primers but want a good quality product at the same time :)
Till next time guys! I hope my computer can be fixed soon so I can put more posts. Bye! :)

Review: MAC Paintpot in Painterly

Hello everyone!

Another holiday here in the Philippines so majority of us who are working don't have work today...I do have one but I did not go to my office because I'm not gonna be getting the double-pay rate coz I'm a part-timer so yeah...anyways, happy long weekend! ^_^

Now, back to topic..I will be doing a final review on MAC Paintpot in Paintery..final because after using it for almost 2 years, I'm already in the last few uses of it..This is a staple on my everyday makeup coz I have oily lids and my eyeshadow/concealer creases easily if I don't use any base for them.

Do take note that I live in a tropical country so if you have a colder climate than me, this will probably work differently to you. So, let's get started :)
The label is already fading hehe :)

Here is an actual picture of how much product is left...almost done! Yay! I can now get myself a new base haha..I really stopped myself to buy one until I finished this up so as not to waste good product.
What I like about it:
- neutral shade - I can use this as base for all colors of eyeshadow and it won't alter the shade of my shadows.
- Easy to apply on the lids.
- Makes eyeshadows stick on my lids for around 8 hours on cold months
- Makes the colors of the shadows vibrant.
-good value for money since it really contains a lot of product..I've been using this almost everyday for 2 years and as you can see I still have a few more weeks worth of products.
- If you like matte finish base, this is a matte one.
- Can be used alone to brighten up your eyes.
- Can be used as base for undereye concealer
- Available locally

What I don't like:
- the product dried up a bit after 4 or 5 months..dried up in a sense that it is not as creamy as when it was brand new.
- I can't rely on this during hot weather..my eyeshadows creases so bad after 4 hours and I am spending 8 hours of the day inside an airconditioned room already. Sometimes I go home with a very defined creasing on the lids and it's so sad to look at and embarrassing...
-not that hygienic since I need to dip my fingers on it and bacteria can trap inside since it's a cream based product.
-If you don't like matte bases and wants some shimmers, this is a flat matte.
- Paintpots are available in many shades on MAC counters.

TIPS:
-Make sure that you wash your hands before dipping your finger in the pot to prevent putting bacteria and dirt on your pot.
- sanitize regularly by wiping the top layer with a soft tissue to remove the contaminated area.
- make sure to seal the lid tightly so as not to dry up the product
- with lid tightly closed, submerge the pot in a container with hot water then cover it with a lid..this can help the product to become creamy again.

Over all Rating: 4/5
Will I buy again? Maybe yes, maybe no.. but for now, I would like to try out the Etude House proof 10 eyeshadow base which is known to be a dupe for UDPP...and I would also like to try UDPP in Sin coz it has shimmers :)

What about you? What is your HG eyeshadow base? I would really love to hear them so I can check it out. ^_^

Till my next post! Bye! ^_^

Review: Aromaleigh Indelible Eyeliner Sealant

I have given a passing review on Aromaleigh indelible eyeliner sealant on my previous blog entry but I decided to make a separate review for this product since I can't stop raving about it..here's my take on this little pretty package I got (thank you sis Nikki for making it possible for me to own this product :) )

Product name: Aromaleigh Indelible Eyeliner Sealant
Price: $4 (around P200)
Size: 0.25 oz
Ingredients: Water, Propylene glycol, Polysorbate 80. Methylparaben, Imadazolydinyl Urea, Cellulose Gum

Their take:

"For those of you lovely ladies who have a yen for wet-lining with your minerals, you might just fall in love with this eyeliner sealant. It's perfect to give your wet-lined minerals staying power in hot & humid weather... or any weather at all, for that matter...
All you need is a drop to wet your brush and then dip into a sprinkle of your color of choice of minerals. Voila!"

My take:
Packaging: 5/5
Price: 5/5
Size: 5/5
Quality: 5/5
Availability: 3/5

Pros: I love how affordable it is for the quality I get..also the size of the product is just right..it is very handy and can fit my kikay kit easily plus it will not go to waste if ever it expires (there's no expiration date on the bottle so I don't know for sure) since I only need a couple of drops to finish both my eyes so by the time I finish this bottle it will already be near the expiry date if ever there is any hehe..I also love that my eyeshadows lasted me for a whopping 20+ hours without any smudging! this is so even with the continous sweating I experienced due to the hot and humid weather we have here..I love love love this product to bits..I just hope I can easily avail this if ever I need a replacement.

Cons: not available locally so it's hard and a little pricey to get a replacement if I ran out of it..other than that, I can't think of any negative stuffs to say about this product..this is my HG mixing medium!

What about you guys? Have you tried this stuff already? If not, I just read in Aromaleigh.com that they now ship this internationally..great news for us! yehey! :)
