It has been a long time since I have watched We Got Married. I actually stopped watching the show after the 3 original couples of season 4 left. I'm not actually interested in the new ones so for how many months I didn't bother with the show. Last month, they have announced that Jang Wooyoung of 2PM will be replacing Taemin & Naeun and it really created the buzz I needed to be interested again hehe. I am a 2PM fan & Wooyoung has a really fun & energetic personality so it would be nice to see him in a variety show interacting with a girl. Plus, there would probably be more 2PM appearances every now & then as guests so that would be great.
He got paired up with the actress Park Se Young. I have watched her inFaith (click for my review) and I loved her character in that drama. She's so pretty and soft spoken so I am so psyched to see how the two will interact with each other.
There have only been 4 episodes so far and, like always, I watch the English subbed videos @ Kshownow since they sub the fastest (new episodes w/subs are posted every Monday) & the quality is always great.
After 3 episodes, I think this is a good match! They have so many likes in common but is still different in personality. I also liked the fact that they only have a 1 year age gap so there's no such thing as a "noona" feeling like usual. I really would prefer it if Wooyoung is the older one but it's not much of a big deal this time.
I am looking forward every week to see more of them. I just hope We Got Married PD won't butcher this couple like the others. The 1st 3 seasons are still the best because the couples have time to grow & know each other better unlike in Season 4 were in they just stay together for a few months. I hope everything will go well *crossing my fingers*
Do post in the comment if you have watched this couple already or if you are as excited as I am that another 2PM member will be part of the show coz it means more appearances of the group :)
Happy Thursday! Are you a fan of We Got Married? I am! I have been watching this show since Season 1 (2008) and although I don't like and watch every couple, I still enjoyed seeing the show. It is currently on its 4th season and although I love the new concept of a WGM Village, this season have been hit hard because of controversies and stuff so the first 3 couples were changed consecutively and replaced with new ones. MBC then tried their hand to make an international We Got Married (because there are a lot of foreign fans) so they created a Global Version wherein they made couples from Korea, Taiwan and Japan and it gets aired to many countries through the cable channels. Locally, it is aired through Animax but since I don't have an Animax channel in our cable subscription I just watched it online at WonderfulGeneration :) THE COUPLES
Ok Taecyeon - rapper of Korean group 2PM (24y/o) Gui Gui / Emma Wu - an actress from Taiwan (23y/o)
Lee Hong Ki - lead singer of Korean band FT Island (23y/o) Fujii Mina - an actress from Japan (24y/o) MY THOUGHTS: I actually liked the concept of pairing a Korean singer and an actress from another country because it gave more dimension and opportunities for a story. They have different culture, working environment and views so you can really see how they adjust with each other. I also liked the fact that both couples were of marrying age because that's sometimes the problem with the Korean WGM -- They pair up very young idols (20-21 y/o) so it's not really realistic and viewers see them as "dating" instead of "married" which is what the show is supposed to be about. Anyway, there's no problem with the maturity too and viewers can enjoy the scenes without any awkward situations regarding skinship between the couple. They actually looked relaxed with each other and they progressed naturally throughout the episodes. The difference in language is also interesting to watch. Taecyeon and Gui Gui usually talks in English while Hong Ki and Mina talks in Korean and Japanese since both know how. The locations shown were also awesome! They were so beautiful and postcard perfect which added a more romantic feel to everything. Perfect backdrop :) I only have two gripes about this Global Edition of We Got Married: (1) This feels so scripted compared to the Korean version. Every scene and action lacks emotions and it felt forced. It's like the director said we should do this so I'll do this and your reaction will be this...that kind of feeling, you know what I mean? I guess because they don't meet regularly (like in the Korean version where they meet 2x a week to shoot) and doesn't communicate outside of shooting (they live in different countries), they lack the real feeling and it shows during filming. The language barrier, I believe, is a factor too which is very evident with Taecyeon and Gui Gui. Her English is not that good and she doesn't understand Korean that well so Taecyeon needs to talk very slowly in English as if talking to a kid. It made their relationship more like a father-daughter haha.
(2) This whole show is like one big advertisement for Samsung LOL! Really! After only one episode, I noticed it already and as I watch the following episodes it got more obvious. The cellphones are Galaxy Note 2, they uses Galaxy 10.1 tablets, they use smart TV and the most used is the galaxy camera and printer. It's like they kept on advertising every latest gadget Samsung is offering in the market. They even show and talk about the features of each gadget :( OVER-ALL RATING: 3.5/5
I love the concept and the places shown but I still prefer the original We Got Married because this felt so scripted and there's too much screen time spent on promoting Samsung products. I started watching this for Taecyeon but I liked to watch Fujii Mina now because she and Hongki gives a more realistic couple feeling.

As you all know, I'm a Kpop fanatic and I would definitely not miss a chance of seeing my favorite groups if ever they will have a concert here in the Philippines. I know that the life span of a Kpop group, on average, is less than 5 years so I don't want to risk it that they might not be coming back here again so I need to grab the chance as I can. I am also always hoping that I do have enough budget for a concert ticket whenever one of them is coming. These last 3 years have been very good to me especially as a Kpop fan. A lot of groups (and even actors) have been coming here in our country to either promote or perform in a concert and I believe the list will keep on growing as a lot of these concerts have been almost if not sold out.
The last 2 Kpop groups who had a concert here were 2PM (March 2, 2013) and CN Blue (June 15, 2013). I have attended both of these concerts and those nights were really very memorable for me. I had come with my sister and we were so glad we did go because the performances were spectacular! They really go all out :)
WHAT TIME IS IT? 2PM LIVE TOUR
Highlights of the night: - I rode a double-decker shuttle bus from the public transport terminal at MOA going to the MOA Arena for FREE! It's a free service to all the fans who will be watching the concert. It's so cool because it's the first time I get to ride one hehe :)
- Our concert seats were very near the stage! I was able to see them up close and personal! Me and my sis got the Patron seats since we both didn't want to stand and get pushed around by people in the VIP section hehe We really made the best decision because we were able to see them real close and on eye level too :)
- Even though the sound system had some glitches in the first song, I was glad everything got fixed asap and the group's live performances went on smoothly after that. They were a really talented group and very professional too. - The performance was spectacular! There were so many light effects and fireworks during the concert. It really helped pumped up the energy. I stayed up standing the whole evening because I can't stay still haha I screamed and sang and dance with the 2PM boys :) - I appreciated the translated messages they placed at the background screen whenever the boys are talking. It was easier to understand them and we were able to respond to them too. I really think it made the concert more personal for us fans because they exerted some effort to reach out to us in our own language. - The only sad thing about the whole event is that it didn't get sold out. The concert was not promoted properly (shame on you HOOPLA!) and the buying period for tickets were only 1 month. Even the announcement of the concert itself was less than 2 months so there's no time to save up enough money especially since this was held only 3 months after the Kpop Fantsy Concert which a lot of Kpop fans attended. Another factor that I can think of is that they held a concert in a time during their hiatus. 2PM have not been promoting for 2 years so the number of their fans is not that many anymore compared to Big Bang and Super Junior. Luckily, the boys were still professional enough and had still performed with smiles and enthusiasm all throughout the night :)
I was only able to watch this because my ticket was a gift from my bf since he knows how much I love 2PM. I am forever grateful to him because he helped me fulfill one of my dreams :)
CN BLUE - BLUE MOON TOUR 2013
Highlights of the night: - Even though I was only able to get an Upper B ticket, I was still happy about the fact that I was sitting in the center and in the front row. There's no one blocking my view and I can stay seated if I wanted to.
- My sis and I got jealous with the other fans and bought a light stick and cardboard binoculars haha It was so nice to see the whole audience area with blue lightsticks just like what I had watched of concerts on TV.
- The CN Blue boys decided to talk to their fans in English and Tagalog! I really appreciated their effort even though I can't seem to understand some of the words they're saying hehe - Yonghwa and Jungshin are really hyper that night. They kept on laughing and smiling and creating chaos. It was really fun to see the boys having such a great time. - Jungshin and Minhyuk really displayed their great skills in playing their respective instruments! Holy moly! They are really good! - The most memorable for me was when Yonghwa made a mistake and said "Singapore" and changed it quickly to "Philippines" haha that was epic because he looked sheepish and kept on saying sorry after that. He also tried to make amends by tweaking the last part of "See My Eyes" to "I love Philippines!" I really enjoyed that! He also kept dancing the whole night and he looked so handsome :) - The boys also surprised Yonghwa by singing Happy Birthday to him after talking to the fans in Tagalog (they were holding cue cards where they read sentences about their instructions to us) :)
- There were also fireworks and lots of light effects which looked so cool. Even the transition to 2nd act was great. Everything was well executed.
- CN Blue performed with energy and enthusiasm and you can really see that they were enjoying while performing :) - They were able to fill up Araneta Coliseum! I do hope they come back again :)
OVER-ALL THOUGHTS: I really had a great time in both concerts and I am really happy that I were able to share these very memorable moments with my sister. We are really close and I am happy that she is always willing to join me in my Kpop crazy moments haha :)
Thank you for dropping by!

Happy Friday everyone! Ben Chan Tweeted yesterday morning confirming that Nichkhun of 2PM is the newest addition in Bench's Global Trendsetter Endorsers together with Super Junior Siwon & Donghae, Lee Min Ho, Jessica Sanchez and Maroon 5 Adam Levine. I really admire Ben Chan because he knows which international endorsers to choose and when to use them. He knows that these celebrities have die-hard fans and he can earn big during contests periods hehe :)
Seriously, I can't believe it when I saw the tweet! Out of 2PM, Nichkhun is definitely my bias and I am just so happy he is the one they choose. I am already so excited to see him on their concert next week and now with this new endorsement, I know he will be having a fan meet too in the near future. I can't wait to see what kind of fan meet they will have for Nichkhun...if it's gonna be like with Siwon and Donghae or like with Lee Min Ho. Either way, I will definitely join even if Bench products are crappy in quality. I'll probably end up buying undies this time because even if those fades after several washes, I can still wear them hehe :)
Happy Wednesday! I'm not sure if I can post tomorrow so I'm just gonna upload it today :)
SHOW: The Romantic and Idol Season 1 CHANNEL: tvN EPISODES: 8 AIRING DATES: November 11 - December 30,2012
AIRING TIMES: every Sunday
CAST: 2PM Jun K. MBLAQ Mir JJ Project JB ZE:A Hyungshik 4Minute Jihyun AOA Hyejeong Fiestar Jei Rainbow Seungah PLOT: "The Romantic and Idol" is a spin off from a tvN show called "Romantic" which featured non-celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes looking for love. For the first season of The Romantic and Idol, they have decided to ban the managers of the idols and let them date for 4 days and 3 nights at the romantic island of Jeju. According to the representatives of the show, they wanted this to become a reality show featuring idols dating and want them to show their real emotions without the interference of their managers. ENGLISH SUBBED VIDEOS: At Kshownow.net
MY THOUGHTS: Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'll like watching this show. I really waited every week for the episodes to get subbed by Kshownow because their English subtitle is the best. This is one of those Korean reality/variety show that you will really get into because they are never long winded. You'll know that the story will just spun for a couple of episodes so there's actually a lot of happenings per episode :) You all know how I love watching We Got Married and this has the same feel as they both have celebrity casts getting together and pretending to be couples. The difference between the two is that with WGM, the couples have enough time to get to know each other first before having some sort of skinship, but with the Romantic and Idol, they only have 4 days and 3 nights and they get different missions like holding hands and back hugging to accomplish.. so it's a much faster paced dating show. They also have 4 choices in front of them and they will be able to date anyone depending on the result of the shuffle. The pairing will be up to fate because they won't know which ones they will have a date with for the day until after they finished choosing-- there were shuffles everyday. Example: 1) Necklace shuffle - the girls will choose one necklace each (prepared by the guys prior to the show) and whoever owns the necklace they chose will be their date for the day. 2) Clothes shuffle - the girls prepared a top for the guys to choose and the pairings will also based on who got which shirt. I really liked the unpredictability because you'll never know who will be paired up with whom and if their feelings will change after changing partners. After watching the first season, I really believed it to be a reality show because it won't end that way if it's scripted. I watched this at first because of 2PM's JunK. but I
learned to appreciate all the casts after 1 episode. They are all very
exciting to watch. This is definitely a fun show to indulge in every week. I am now watching Season 2 and I am enjoying it too :) OVER-ALL RATING: 4/5
This is a really fun thing to watch and I believe that whoever thought about this is daebak! It's a nice twist to the regular variety dating show shown in the TV. Can't wait to see more from this show! :)
SPOILERS ALERT! I really hated JB after watching the whole 8 episodes. I liked him before this show but instead of endearing him to me with this participation, I ended up hating him and I don't think I'm the only one who got disappointed. I have read a lot of comments saying they were so disappointed with how JB acted and they got put-off with his attitude. I really didn't like how he treated Seungah, it was so immature and ungentleman. I don't care if he's young, because age is not a reason to disrespect someone. The guys in Season 2 is the same age as him and they treated the other girl with respect even though they don't like to have a date with them. I really hope no one will become the next Seungah in Season 2 because that girl really felt bad and alone that she cried due to sadness. On a positive note, I really believe that Hyungshik-Jihyun and Mir-Jei got together after the show. You can notice that their feelings were real during the show and according to their members, they usually find those two grinning and too happy after going back from Jeju. Also, Hyungshik started learning how to drive so he can have his own car...Yeah, he is dating alright haha. An idol only gets himself a car if he wants to date so that he can hide it from his manager :) Thanks for dropping by!
July is a really eventful month for Kpop fans because a lot happened -- both good and bad.
The Good - shows like Idol Olympics, Running Man vs Idols episode, lots of stage comebacks (SuJu, T-ara, 2NE1, etc.) and a lot more that brought joy to us.
The Bad - now this is the main topic of my post today. These 3 issues that erupted had resulted in a very negative mood for all the fans from different parts of the world.
Let's start the Top 3 countdown:
#3 Leeteuk of Super Junior entering the army
The leader of SuJu have already announced to the public that he will enter the mandatory military service right after the promotions of their newly released single "Sexy, Free & Single". It was decided by the group that they would enter the military one by one and doing it like a rotation of members instead of going in all at once and then will make a comeback after everyone is released from duty (like what Shinhwa did). Kangin who have just been recently released from duty were back on the group doing promotions while Leeteuk being the oldest of the group at age 30 have been decided to go in next, following Heechul who is already inside the military.
I guess it is better if they do it like that (rotating) because they will still be able to work and keep the fans happy with all the exposures while still being able to do their duty and serve their country. But I keep on thinking Super Junior's number will decrease one way or another because they are almost of the same age...I guess they would be affected when Yesung goes in next coz he's one of the main vocals.
It's just sad and I'll definitely miss Leeteuk on variety shows coz he's really fun to watch. And I guess this also means his stint at We Got Married with Kang Sora will end too..oh, they won't be able to read 1 year anniversary :(
#2 Nichkhun of 2PM getting involved in an accident
On July 25, Nichkhun got into a vehicular accident against a motorcyclist around 2:30 AM KST. According to reports, Khun was coming home from a company party in a restaurant near his dorm when the accident happened. The driver of the motorcycle was brought to the hospital because he had
some bleeding on his ear (external bleeding not internal) which might be
due to being scraped on the road since he was not wearing a helmet. It is minor but since Khun is very famous for being the epitome of a perfect prince, it has been a big issue when he made a mistake.
Nichkhun admits that he drank a couple of alcoholic drinks during the party, so he was tested by the police and his alcohol level registered 0.056%. Now, it was no way an illegal amount, that is way too low to be considered DUI... which is why I don't get the statement that headlined the news: "Khun was driving under the influence of alcohol". He was coherent according to the police and was in no way under any kind of influence. The media was really blowing this issue up! arrg!
Another thing, the speeding issue. Khun was also not speeding because when his car was investigated, his blackbox revealed he was driving at 40km per hour (that's slow~) when he collided with the motorcycle which is driving at a slow speed too. The main cause of the accident according to the report is that both parties did not follow the stop sign at the intersection of the street.
The sad thing is, Nichkhun was so traumatized of all of these that he decided to pull out from the limelight for a while to rethink his actions and make himself a better person before working again. 2PM decided to postpone their comeback in Japan because they wanted to promote as a whole 6-member group. JPYE didn't stated an exact amount of time Khun will be absent but for the meantime there will be no appearances with him on all broadcasts.
#1 Hwayoung of T-Ara was removed from the group by CCM
Hwayoung, one of the youngest member of girl group T-ara, was fired from the group by their parent company, Core Contents Media (CCM). The company released an official statement today...you can read the complete statement in English here. According to CCM, after meeting with all the staff and the group members and talking about the issues, they have decided to cut Hwayoung's contract short and remove her from the group. This released statement was so ambiguous that it raised more questions so the CEO had a short Q&A after..read it here. This story has a lot of sides: * CCM - Hwayoung was a diva and the staffs' sufferings are the reasons why she was removed. * T-ara members suffered because Hwayoung decided to not participate on the stage on the last minute (2 groups before they need to go out and perform) and she did it with an attitude.Hyomin who did the rapping impromptu made a mistake because of this. * Hwayoung was always bullied and outcasted by the other members of the group. Netizens have been finding a lot "proofs" (pictures and clips) that she was indeed bullied a lot. And after the statement of CCM about her removal, they believed everyone in the company bullied her. Now, I don't know what CCM was doing. First, they added 2 new members all of a sudden then now they are removing one member. They have just made a comeback and this can really affect everything. There's a lot of negatives and hating going on right now. I have read a lot of articles where fans are favoring Hwayoung because she really looked like she was bullied by everyone including the staffs. These fans have started hating on other members like Eunjung (there was a petition for her to be removed to WGM and her new drama), Hyomin (there's a clip wherein she hit hwayong on the face during a message for fans...the issue is whether it was accidental or not) and Boram (she's not friends with Hwayoung on Twitter). Fans of T-ara are now separated on which side they want to believe and support and this is not good for the group. I really believed they should have settled all the conflicts in private and if ever they still need to remove Hwayoung, they should have done it after the promotions of "Day by Day" as to not affect the sales of the single. I'm afraid T-ara is gonna disband soon. I don't think they can handle the pressure. If ever they didn't disband, I'm pretty sure there will be another member who will be removed. Wow! I can't believe CCM is worst than SME...At least SME cares about keeping the groups intact while CCM keeps on ruining it LOL What about you fellow Kpop fans? What can you say about these controversies that are rocking the Kpop world right now? Share your opinions on the comments below. I would love to read what you guys thought ^_^ Thanks for dropping by!
Hello! Have you watched the 2012 MBC Idol Olympics already? If not, I have found a couple Youtuber who posted the event of this year's Idol Olympics so feel free to watch them here. These don't have English subtitle but it is still a good watch ^_^ 1. Table Tennis Mixed Double
Nichkhun (2PM) and Jiyeon (T-Ara) vs Changmin (2AM) and Amber (Fx)
2. Fencing (women division)
Victoria (Fx) vs Sunhwa (Secret)
3. Track & Field (men)
Look at Jo Kwon's (2AM) face while running LOL so funny ^_^
I love Doojoon (ZE:A) in sports related shows ^_^
4. Long Jump (men)
Seulong (2AM)! He has really long legs..definitely an advantage haha ^_^
You know how much I love variety shows and one of my favorite is We Got Married. I have watched that show by MBC since the first season -- my favorite is JoongBo (Kim Hyun Joong of SS501 and Hwang Bo). I didn't actually watched season 2 because I don't like the cast so much but when Adam Couple (Jo Kwon of 2AM and Gain of Brown Eyed Girls) came in at the start of 3rd season, I started watching again. My favorite couples are KhunToria (Nichkhun of 2PM and Victoria of F(x)) and YongSeo (Jung Yonghwa of CN Blue and Seohyun of SNSD). Currently, they are airing 2 couples which is WooJung (Jangwoo and Eunjung of T-ara) and Dimples Couple (Leeteuk of Super Junior and Kang Sora).
Anyway, KhunToria has recently came out together as guests on MBC's Golden Fishery Radio Star. This is actually the fist time this year that they saw each other again on a TV show which made me happy. The last time I saw them together is during their stint as MC on MBC Gayo Daejun (I had a hard time looking for KhunToria cuts during the show so if you know where I can watch them, please share them with me in the comment section below) last December 2011 just right after their part in WGM ended. And as a fan of the couple, I am so happy to see them not feeling awkward and still enjoying each others company even though they're not a "couple" anymore :)
I just wanted to share the English subbed version of the show to all KhunToria fans out there. I hope this will make your day too ^_^
KhunToria @ MBC Golden Fishery Radio Star [English subbed]
Hello Kpop addicts! Here's another Kpop update for you guys, although I know you probably have seen these already hehe ^_^
1. Super Junior's new singles: "Sexy, Free & Single" and "For You"
I think "Sexy, Free & Single" is another hit for Super Junior. It really has a catchy lyrics and melody (although there's a one line that is weird when you first hear it --
You can hear "Sexy, free and single I'm ready to bingo" BUT it is written like this:
"Sexy, free and single I'm ready too. Bingo"
Bingo used as an alternative for "yahoo"
Anyway, I love the song and the dance and the sexiness of each member. They looked more buff than before especially Siwon, Leeteuk, Sungmin and Donghae...Hotness overload ^_^
Here's a live performance of "Sexy, Free and Single" + "For You" which is their thank you song for all the ELFs all over the worlds ^_^
I really liked the first part of "For You" especially because Leeteuk (as the leader and the rightful representative of SuJu) said it in English so that all of their fans can understand.
"This song is dedicated to the world's biggest fan club, the ELF
My girls, my angels"
I was so happy hearing those words and also KRY (Kyuhun, Ryewok, Yesung) sang it with emotions. They really have great voices ^_^
2. Collaboration of 2AM and 2PM (Oneday) = "One Day"
I really love JYP Entertainment coz they gave 2AM and 2PM a single (even though it's Japanese)! Fans like me who both love 2AM and 2PM as a group were really happy to see the boys together again officially. There have been a couple of special stage performance where these 2 joined forces but nothing beats an official production, right? ^_^
Here's their first official project as ONEDAY (2AM+2PM) and they are singing "One Day"
I love this! I hope JYP Entertainment can do a JYP Family Concert here in the Philippines so I can watch them live ^_^
3. T-Ara's comeback with new members in their new single "Day by Day"
I'm not really sure why T-ara's company added 2 new members when 7 are already enough and not everyone can sing a part. I think the problem is the distribution of the lines so I don't get it why they needed to add 2 more wherein they can't even handle 7...This really beats good reasoning. Anyway, they introduced Dani, the 14-year-old new member who grew up in the US, in this MV. I loved the concept of this MV coz it feels like I'm watching an RPG game or something with sexy girls that know how to kick ass
Love how Hyomin looks great as a redhead. She really looks like an anime character. The others looked great too ^_^
Their live performance of "Day by Day" also showed the other new member. Her name is Ahreum (which I think is a really cool and unique name) and she has a great singing voice which is I guess the reason she was added.Check her out in this live performance.
I'm not sure if I love the song per se, but that's maybe because I personally prefer their dance/disco type of songs like "Lovey, Dovey" and "Roly Poly" which showcased their dancing abilities. ^_^
Even though T-ara is a 9-member group now, I think they are still one of the best Kpop girl groups and is ever evolving. I will continue to support the group and also the new members coz it's not their fault that they are added in the end when the group is already famous.
4. Girls Generation/ SNSD released another Japanese single "Paparazzi"
Even though this is not really a Kpop song, I will still include this here because I love SNSD and they are a Kpop group albeit they are singing Japanese songs. I prefer the dance version of the MV so that's the one I will post here.
This one is really catchy. I can't help but sing along with this song. It has the same feel with "Mr. Taxi" their other Japanese song (I liked that too). I haven't seen a good footage of their live performance of this so I can't share anything with you guys. I'm not sure if it's because there's only a few music programs in Japan and also fewer who has HD cameras or no one has uploaded it yet at Youtube. Regardless, I still love the quality of this dance MV released by SME.
Paparazzi is a song that fits SNSD's style because it's catchy, has a good dance step and their voices fit this type of dance songs. I love their stage costumes but I'm not sure what's the connection of a tuxedo in being a celebrity. I think if they wore something like their costume in TTS Twinkle, it would fit better hehe well that's just my personal opinion :)
