A quick purple FOTD =)

I just wanted to share my makeup look yesterday during the Go Association event :)

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE
- Hada Labo BB Whitening Cream #1 + Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream #2 (50-50)
- The Body Shop Shimmer Waves in 02 Rose

EYES
- MakeUp Forever Star Powder in 927 (all over lid)
- The Body Shop Eyebrow Powder (both for eyebrows and light brown for crease)

LIPS
- Lancome lipstick in 284

*If you're interested to read my review on the individual products I've used in this FOTD, I included some links on those that I have reviewed already so just click away :)

Disclaimer: As you might have noticed, even though I am now going for cruelty free products, I am still using my previously bought makeup from brands that do test on animals (like Lancome and Etude House). It would be a waste of money if I throw them away or don't use them so I am trying my best to use them all up lately so I can clear my makeup collection sooner. However, I did stop purchasing from these brands last year and will continue to stay away from brands that do animal testing.

Review: Watson's Sesame Street Plaster

Hello everyone! I just wanted to do a simple review on this product I encountered while I was having a date with my bf last month. I was wearing a new set of shoes that day and the back part was digging on the back of my ankle and it became painful to walk due to the tender skin so I went to Watsons to buy some Band Aids. That's my favorite band of plasters because it stays put until you remove it and it's thick so if you have a wound, it gets cushioned very well. Anyway, I'm supposed to grab a box of Band Aid but this caught my eye and bought it instead -- Watsons Sesame Street Edition Washproof Plasters

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:

- Cute designs. I loved Sesame Street as a kid and I like cute things so this really made me happy.

- I believe this is cheaper than the Band Aid ones.

- Locally available on all Watsons store.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:

- This doesn't stick at all. When I put this on my foot, it got removed after a couple of minutes walking. Even if I put it on my finger, once I wash my hands, it slips out quite easily.

- This is so thin that it is not meant to cushion the wounds from impact like the ones caused by shoes.

- I think this is limited edition.

OVER-ALL RATING: 3/5
Design - 5/5 <-- really cute
Functionality - 2/5 <-- it doesn't stay put that long to serve it's purpose.

WILL I REPURCHASE? Nope. I will try other brands with cute designs like the Mediplast ones that I saw Nikki of Askmewhats featured on her blog :)

Thanks for dropping by!

My fave MLBB combo + review

Hello everyone! I know a lot of Filipinos are getting concerned about the Cyber Crime law that was passed. I am also concerned but I have decided to just live like nothing happened so I will still blog without thinking about that weird law. I love my freedom of speech, thank you very much ^_^

Anyway, I wanted to share with you guys my favorite combination for my lips for almost 3 or 4 months now. I am so in love with it because it looks like "my lips but better."

PRODUCTS:
Watsons tinted lip balm in Cherry

HnM lipgloss in Cherry

Here's a swatch at the back of my hands:

And here's a swatch wherein I applied one layer of the products on my lips:

FOTD using this combination. It really looks natural, right? :)

MY THOUGHTS on:

1) WATSONS TINTED LIPBALM in CHERRY

(+)
- Gives a natural reddish flush on my already pigmented lips.

- The intensity of the color can be layered. The more product you apply, the redder your lips get.

- I prefer this rather than the liquid ones (like TBS cheek&lip tint) because this spreads evenly on my lips and I can blend it quite easily.

- Staying power is okay. I do need to reapply after eating or drinking to maintain the intensity of the color.

- Fades quite nicely. It's not blotchy at all which is perfect if you are out and don't have time to retouch asap.

- It is small enough to fit inside your pockets for touch-ups.

- Doesn't dried out my lips like other liptints (maybe because this is meant to be a lip balm)

- Available locally and it costs I think around Php100 only.

(-)
- Cannot be used as a lip balm because it is not moisturizing enough.

- Unsanitary packaging since it is in a pot.

- I don't like the scent that much coz I am not fond of synthetic cherry flavors.

- I just learned that Watsons does sell in China which means it tests on animals =(

RATING: 4.5/5 - Although I liked the product, I won't be repurchasing this because it does test on animals.

2) HnM LIPGLOSS in CHERRY

(+)
- Moisturizing enough for my dry lips. No need for a lipbalm underneath my lipstick if I am using this.

- Gives enough shine without me looking like I ate Lechon :)

- Very cute packaging! I love that it looks like a cherry.

- Not sticky so my hair doesn't stick to it that much.

- Can be used alone coz this have a slight pinkish tint to it and it looks pretty on bare lips.

(-)
- Unsanitary packaging because it is in a pot and you need to dip your fingers to get some products.

- Not available locally so I can't repurchase this.

RATING: 5/5 - Will definitely repurchase if I can :)

What's your favorite MLBB shade? :)
