Review: LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer

Happy Tuesday!

Today I will review the last item on my LA Girl Haul. I have been testing this for almost 2 months now and I'm ready to share my two cents on the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer.

BRAND: LA Girl
RANGE: High Definition
SHADE: Creamy Beige
NET WT: 0.25 oz / 8 g
PRICE: P299
INGREDIENTS:

SWATCHES:

MY REVIEW:

YAY!!!

- I love the packaging. It comes in a squeeze tube with brush tip which makes it easy to dispense and apply the product. It doesn't squirt too much which is great since a small amount can go a long way.

- Creamy Beige is perfect for my skin tone. It has a yellow-light peach undertone so it's great on both undereyes and acne blemishes.

- Texture is perfect -- Mousse texture that dries to powder. It's not sticky at all. Easy to blend too!

- Very opaque so it's easy to cover scars with this product. This will last me a long time since I only need to use a small amount each time.

- I also can use this as eyeshadow base because it doesn't crease on my oily eyelids.

- Can be layered without caking as long as you apply a small amount for every layer.

- Lasts a long time on my undereyes-- around 8 hours.

- It brightens my undereye area really well.

- Cruelty free

- Affordable and easily available locally.

NAY!!!

- Nada! I can't think of a con yet :)

OVER-ALL RATING: 5/5

I love everything about this product! This is the best concealer I have tried as of date. It does't crease, covers well, and brightens my undereyes. This looks pretty natural too which is a plus. I can just apply this to my undereye area and put some powder and I'm ready to go :)

What's your favorite concealer? :)

Review: Tony Moly Berry Lovely Girl Tip Concealer

Good morning everyone! It's a bright and sunny morning right now here in the Philippines and I really wanted to go out. I can't believe rainy season is already coming very fast. We are already experiencing rainy nights.

Anyway, I have been testing out a concealer that I got for a couple of months now. I just wanted to be sure that I have used it a lot before I do a review so I waited until I used up a lot ^_^

I am gonna review Tony Moly Berry Lovely Girl Tip Concealer in Shade #1.

I got this for around Php200 only so I am very happy with the price. It comes in a lipgloss like container and it has a doe foot applicator.

Here is what it looks like on the skin when swatched...

After blending a little...
How it looked like on my eyes without any brightening undereye powder on top of the concealer.

I LIKED THIS because:

- It is very affordable and available locally.

- Shade#1 is perfect for brightening my eyes. I can also use this to highlight my nose bridge coz it looks natural when blended.

- Coverage is buildable without any caking. I love that I can layer this product on my undereyes and it won't crease or cake.

- I can use this for touch ups too during the day. If my eye makeup smudges, I can just wipe it with a tissue and then apply this to make me look fresh again.

- I can even use this as an eyeshadow base. I don't know how it prevents my eyeshadow from creasing easily too. Even if it doesn't make my eye makeup stay put the whole day like an eyeshadow primer does, at least it helps my e/s adhere to my lids better on days I don't like to put up a fuss on my look.

- It doesn't settle on my lines even if my eye area are dry. My sister can even use this (she doesn't like putting anything on her undereye coz it settles on her fine lines) without any problem.

- You only need to use a small amount everyday. I have this for more than 3 months now and I still have a lot of products even if I use this everyday.

- It doesn't turn my undereyes blue! That's my problem with yellow-toned concealers, it makes me look bluish because I'm acidic but this doesn't oxidizes on me so I am so happy.

CONS:

- None!
- It might be too light for very dark circles coz this is not a thick and opaque concealer...but since I prefer brightening them than totally concealing, I don't mind it at all. It might just be a con for some.

OVER-ALL RATING: 5/5.

I super love this concealer! I think I found something that I can use for a long time.

WILL YOU REPURCHASE? Definitely! I might check other Tony Moly concealers too coz I wanted to try a more opaque concealer for days that I really have dark circles to cover.

TIPS:

- It is better to use a small amount at first and just build up the coverage gradually.

-Using a blending brush like MAC 217 for applying this product creates an airbrushed effect.

- Always set with a powder to make it last a lot longer.

What about you? What's your HG concealer? And have you tried Korean brand concealers too?Let me know in the comment box below ^_^

Review: Skin Food Salmon Concealer + Lioele Water Drop BB cream

Hello everyone! I know, I promised to post about my review on the latest haul that I got but I was unable to road test each one thoroughly so I was unable to formulate an in-depth opinion about them. I don't want to give you guys a review that I myself is unsure of whether I like them or not..So I used the Skin Food Salmon Concealer Shade #2 and Lioele WaterDrop BB cream for 2 straight days to test them. I think 2 days is enough for me to know if I'm okay with a face product or not because based on my experience, either I will get new pimples on the 3rd day if my skin don't like the new product or I will itch terribly while I have it on. And of course, you will know immediately if a concealer works good or not. So here's my review ^_^

SKIN FOOD SALMON DARKCIRCLE CONCEALER CREAM Shade#2

PROS
- I think the shade is perfect for me. It's enough to even out my dark circles without making me look like a reverse racoon
- very creamy. I can skip my eye cream and it will not make my undereyes drier
- very easy to blend because it has a thin consistency
- buildable..you can build up the product little by little until you reach your desired coverage and it still won't cake
- it doesn't settle on my fine lines
- doesn't cake if you accidentally placed too much product
- this will last me a long time because it has many products on the pot..like the size of a MAC Paintpot (which lasted me more than a year)
- affordable if you buy it from Korea (I got mine for less than Php 500..compared to P1k here)

CONS
- it is sheer so you need at least 3 layers before you can notice any difference
- you can't put it on top of a very moisturizing eye cream because this will slide off easily
- very expensive if you buy it locally
Over-all RATING: 4.5/5 - I love it!

Will you Re-PURCHASE? Yes! As soon as I finished this up..unless I find something better int he future :)

Can you see the difference? I think my eyes look naturally-dark-circles-free (if there's such a word hehe) instead of has-a-concealer-look..This is the main reason I like this product..I don't look too made-up..and it doesn't give me a reverse raccoon eyes even if I applied a brightening concealer on top.

LIOELE WATERDROP BB CREAM

I got this sample for free so I can test it out. I have very sensittive and acne-prone skin so I easily breakout from any products I use (reagardless if they are organic, natural or traditional)..
PROS
- has SPF 27 PA++
- smells good..like a just-took-a-bath smell
- thin consistency so it is easy to blend
- has no grayish tint
- shade looks natural on me..it blends with my skin tone after a couple of minutes
- gives a natural finish..as if your skin is healthy
- lasts 5-6 hours on my oily skin
- did not broke me out

CONS
- doesn't help with my oily skin (because it is not meant to control oil)
- I need to blot every 3 hours or so because I feel oily
- it made me itch the whole time I was wearing it especially if it's hot and I'm perspiring

Over-all RATING: 3/5. I like the performance but it makes me oily a lot easier and also made my skin itch.

WIll I purchase this? Probably not. I'm gonna test out another brand of BB cream after this..I'm really thankful that Clau gave me some free samples of bb creams from diferent brands so I can test them out thoroughly.

After blending..see how healthy my skin glow? I love the finish!

Here's a shot of me wearing Lioele Waterdrop BB cream. I just topped it off with Ellana Sheer Velvet to help with controlling the oilies. Then I used Meow Cat got your Toungue blush on my cheeks. Used my neutrals from my Coastal Scents palette and some mascara (Lancome mascara) too. And my Estee Lauder lipstick in Pink Berry topped with Clearagen lip therapy.

I got the Skin Food Salmon concealer and Lioele BB cream from Clau. You might want to check out her online shop here. She sells very affordable Korean brands :)
Thanks for dropping by! Till next time! ^_^
