WGM Update: KangYoon Couple

Just a quick update about my favorite couple of the show: Julien Kang and Yoon Se Ah.

I have refrained from posting about this earlier because I wanted to be really sure if the rumor is true. Allkpop.com have a high tendency of putting up articles without any basis and then retracting them another day saying they got another report. So, with that being said, I don't trust any of their articles anymore like I used to.

KangYoon Couple have just had their "wedding" last week and I am happy that instead of waiting for a year before having a "wedding celebration", they did it on their 7th month. I also liked the fact that it was a traditional Korean wedding instead of just a wedding photo shoot because it made it so unique from the other couples since Season 1. I love love the wedding ceremony and the look the couple have on their faces.

The reason why I love these two the moment they entered WGM is that they act naturally and just let everything flow on their own. I also knew they interact with each other (publicly) even outside of filming which is not that common. I will often see them tweet each other every now and then and it shows they really did became friends. I love them on the show because they are so natural and comfortable together that you may really believe they are newly weds. I can even see them really dating in the future.

So I am quite sad when MBC producers confirmed that these two will be leaving the show soon. They don't have any exact dates yet and the couple haven't shot their last filming day but they are leaving. UPDATE: the couple just filmed their last episode this February 20th. Yoon SeAh even posted a farewell selca of them as a thank you to their fans.

I mean, why would they leave? Everything is running smoothly and I can't imagine WGM 4 without them. I can't take Kwanghee and Sunhwa's playing any longer so the only couple that will attract me will be Jinwoon and Junhee because they are just starting and I love Jinwoon. I am guessing either SeAh or Julien will be busy in the near future so they won't have enough time to shoot WGM.

Since Season3, having a "wedding photoshoot/ceremony" signifies that  the couple is gonna leave the show soon. I hate to give that connotation but it happened in a lot of previous couple just like with KhunToria and Goguma Couples. After they had their wedding photoshoot they announced they were leaving the show because of their busy schedules.

I think it is better to have the wedding photoshoot a lot earlier like in Season 1. At least fans of WGM won't get worried anymore :(

WGM: 1st Village Meeting (English Subbed)

Happy Monday everyone!

Have you watched the last 2 episodes of We Got Married Season 4 wherein they had their first village meeting? It was so hilarious and entertaining! Whoever thought of the concept "WGM Village" is definitely a genius. It was nice seeing the couples interact together on a regular basis unlike with the previous 3 seasons that they only interact every Chuseok  Special.

Seriously, I am loving the KangYoon Couple so much because they are the most realistic for me. I believe these two have the highest chance of becoming a real couple after the show. They don't have pretenses and are very natural with each other. Also, Yoon Se Ah is definitely meant for variety shows. She doesn't act predictable and is so talented. Just see her dance. I really believe Se Ah's quirkiness is balanced out by Julien's seriousness (typical with all alpha males). Love them both!

BUT the life of the show is definitely the SunHee Couple. They bring so much energy and laughter in this season. They are the next Adam couple, definitely! Since they are friends, they are really comfortable with each other and they can do a lot of skinship..The only downside is, it's hard to believe they are a couple...they give off the vibe of being best buddies instead :)

My least liked couple is JoonSeo because they are kind of boring. Oh Yeon Seo is too serious and Lee Joon is still young and innocent. He is also always afraid and stuttering. Sometimes it's funny, but most of the time it's irritating to see all of his mistakes. I hope they improve soon.

We Got Married Updates

Hello everyone! I'm still not ready to post reviews coz I haven't had the time to set up my bro's computer in my room yet and I still haven't decided how I can transfer the pictures I took...so please bear with me as I tackle these challenges. But for the mean time, I will do posts that won't require me for personally taken pictures hehe ^_^

One of my favorite Korean variety shows, We Got Married, have just officially entered Season 4! Although I am sad that Jangwoo & Eunjung and Leeteuk & Sora already left the show, I am quite excited to watch the 3 new couples because they seem fun and S4 has a new setup. All 3 couples will now live in one "village" and will be neighbors.  The main MCs are still Park Mi-Sun & Kim Jong-Min, while the seat for MC#3 and 4 is rotating, I think. I'm not really sure if they are gonna be staple MCs like 2AM Seulong and Jinwoon, or they will just be guests who will comment together with Misun and Jongmin. I think the appeal of Season 4 would be having a variety of casts. It will not be only include idols like before but also actors and actresses.

Here are 3 couples on Season 4:

1. Julien Kang & Yoon Se-Ah (KangYoon Couple)

They are both actors and are mature already (both are over age 30) so we can definitely see a more realistic "married life" compared to idol couples who are still on their 20s. Another interesting fact on this couple is that Julien is a foreigner so he have a different culture and way of seeing things compared to SeAh. This is also the first couple on WGM that had skinship on their first meeting because as I've said, Julien is born and raised in Canada and touching is common,

2. Hwang Kwang Hee & Han Sun Hwa (SunHee Couple)

The next couple that entered was an idol couple composed of ZE:A's Hwang Kwang Hee and Secret's Han Sun Hwa. This couple was very controversial even before they started filming and this resulted with a not surprising first encounter for both. That was the reason why Kwang Hee decided to put a prank on Sun Hwa on their first meetup just to make everything fun and memorable since they are friends in real life. After 3 episodes, I can say this couple will follow Adam Couple's fun and friendly marriage and will definitely give a lot of laughter to the viewers.

3. Lee Joon & Oh Yeon Seo (JoonSeo Couple)

The latest addition among the 3 new couples of WGM S4 is MBLAQ's Lee Joon and actress Oh Yeon Seo. Their first episode was aired last Saturday, September 15. I think the unique appeal of this couple is that they were coupled by WGM because Yeon Seo's ideal man is Joon and Joon's ideal girl is someone who likes him. I am actually excited to watch how their relationship will turn out because I think it will be hard for them to have no real emotions as time goes by since they both like each other from the start and their age's difference is only 1 year.

First Impressions & English Subbed Videos...

So it's been 2 weeks already since Faith and To The Beautiful You have aired. I would just like to share with you all my first impression of the dramas and also some links to the videos with great quality English subtitles :)

FAITH

I really have a high expectation with this drama because Lee Min Ho is in it and he is a great actor. After watching the first 4 episodes, I am so glad I am not disappointed. Aside from the fact that he looked good in his warrior attire, he also did not disappoint with his acting. I was hooked from the very beginning because it combined fantasy and period so it is quite new for me. I love the fact that some of the characters have magical powers too and the director did a great job on making them look real. The only thing I am kind of iffy about is the narration of the past event because they showed it in a cartoonized version.

TO THE BEAUTIFUL YOU (Hana Kimi Korean Version)

As I've said before, I am a fan of the manga where this is based and I am in love with the Japanese live action (the original version..I didn't like the remake) so I have a very high criteria. The Taiwanese version didn't met it a couple of years back and I was a bit iffy about this too coz Minho is not actually an actor so I'm not sure if he can do it properly. 

After watching the first 4 episodes, I am definitely glad I gave this one a chance. Sulli surpassed my expectation. I was worried she'd be too girly for the role but she really did a great job in acting as a boy. Her acting is good too so I will definitely be expecting more from her from now on. I am also happy with the actor who portrayed Nakatsu though. He fits the character perfectly! Although he is not as handsome as Ikuta Toma, he still were able to portray the role perfectly so I don't mind. Can't say much about Minho because all of his scenes rarely have dialogues and he always have that blank bored look. :)

WE GOT MARRIED (first airing after the London Olympics)

For this week's We got Married, they have introduced a new couple -- Kang Julien and Yoon Se Ah.

After watching episode 1, I really believe I will like them. I was getting tired of the WooJung couple lately so this new addition will be a fresh new start. They are both actors and Julien is a foreigner so it would be really interesting to watch how this older/mature couple will act. I think this will be more realistic because of them are old enough to look for a real partner :)
