Kpop New Release: Got7 "FLY" MV

Anyeong-haseyo! :)

If you are a fan of Got7, then you probably know this already & have seen the video. BUT in the case that you don't follow them, I would just like to share their carrier single for their new mini album. I love that this one is lighter than their previous song "If you do".

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE LYRICS:
(based on the MV translation)

Oh ohh I wanna fly baby fly with you

(Jackson) Aye are you happy? I sure am yeah
Every morning I wake up it feels like a dream~
Like the brilliant sun is shining just for me
Today, like always, my day starts with you

(Bambam) Do you sleep well at night?
Sometimes I wake up coz I can’t believe it's true (hey)
You know what it mean, feeling scared sometimes
I run without looking back and here I am again in your arms

Chorus:
(JB) You are my comfort, everyday I pray I pray
You are my comfort zone above the sky
Wanna wanna fly up and over
Let me hear you say

(Youngjae) We’re gonna fly, fly
Wanna fly with you in my arms, will you go with me girl
We’re gonna fly, fly
You & I, our dreams are right here blazing inside me girl
Fly fly our time is like sunshine after the rain
Fly fly shining brightly on you at the end of the tunnel

(Mark) Why are you so afraid to be loved
I'm right by your side what are you afraid of
Though our love is ordinary, the value is immeasurable you hear me?
It's like flying in the sky feeling like I might fall any minute

(Yugyeom) But I will go higher, wanna soar straight up
Don't know what's at the end until we get there
So don’t let go, hold on tight
I will light up my heart, I will burn burn it up for you
Among the countless stars
You you you are in my arms

(Junior) Oh oh oh oh oh I just wanna be
I just wanna be with you
I just wanna be with you

I hope you all enjoy this great song! It's kind of hard to type the translation from the video but it's worth it haha. I'm just not sure who sung the chorus, if it's JB or Youngae.. but the rap part is alternated by Jackson & Mark I think =)

First impression: We got Married Jang Wooyoung & Park Se Young (2Young Couple)

It has been a long time since I have watched We Got Married. I actually stopped watching the show after the 3 original couples of season 4 left. I'm not actually interested in the new ones so for how many months I didn't bother with the show. Last month, they have announced that Jang Wooyoung of 2PM will be replacing Taemin & Naeun and it really created the buzz I needed to be interested again hehe. I am a 2PM fan & Wooyoung has a really fun & energetic personality so it would be nice to see him in a variety show interacting with a girl. Plus, there would probably be more 2PM appearances every now & then as guests so that would be great.

He got paired up with the actress Park Se Young. I have watched her in Faith (click for my review) and I loved her character in that drama. She's so pretty and soft spoken so I am so psyched to see how the two will interact with each other.

There have only been 4 episodes so far and, like always, I watch the English subbed videos @ Kshownow since they sub the fastest (new episodes w/subs are posted every Monday) & the quality is always great.

After 3 episodes, I think this is a good match! They have so many likes in common but is still different in personality. I also liked the fact that they only have a 1 year age gap so there's no such thing as a "noona" feeling like usual. I really would prefer it if Wooyoung is the older one but it's not much of a big deal this time.

I am looking forward every week to see more of them. I just hope We Got Married PD won't butcher this couple like the others. The 1st 3 seasons are still the best because the couples have time to grow & know each other better unlike in Season 4 were in they just stay together for a few months. I hope everything will go well *crossing my fingers*

Do post in the comment if you have watched this couple already or if you are as excited as I am that another 2PM member will be part of the show coz it means more appearances of the group :)

Until next time! Keep safe :)

Thank you!

Kpop Update: F(x) "Rum Pum Pum Pum"

F(x) is back after their 1 year hiatus. Yay!!  I really don't get why SM Entertainment don't showcase them more often. Anyway, they are back with a brand new single called "Rum Pum Pum Pum". Their MV came out late last night and I was really excited about it because I love all the songs of F(x).

Watch the video first before reading my reaction :)

First off, I love the MV! It's kinda like a mixture of Pinnochio and Electric Shock which makes it look cool. I didn't even care that it's the usual SM boxed videos because the girls really looked great in this one. I'm even thinking of recreating their makeup look. Krystal and Luna shined in this video the most and I really liked their hair colors. Victoria is still as gorgeous as ever while Sulli still looks cute. Amber looks pretty but I just wish they put her in pretty clothes. Why does she have the worst outfit always? She can still look pretty while maintaining her boyish image, SM just needs to find good stylist.

Also, I just wish they distributed the exposure equally among the members because there's too much of Krystal here. I know she's beautiful and probably the most popular member and that it's for promotions BUT this is a group MV so they shouldn't focus on her if it's not her turn. Be fair SM! The other members should shine too!

Now, on the song, it definitely doesn't have the "Love at first hear" effect. It is the type of song that will grow on you and will like after listening to it a couple of times. I believe I needed to hear it for at least 6x before I started liking it which made me a little sad. All their previous songs are way way better than this and I have liked all of them since the first time I heard them until now. Rum Pum Pum Pum is kinda lacking something to make me say "wow!" but I will still download it because I'm an F(x) fan and I will still support them. I just hope their next song would be better :)

RATING: 3/5 -
The song is just okay for me. You need to listen to it a couple of times before you start liking it because it is a type of song that needs getting used to.

Review: We Got Married Global Edition

Happy Thursday!

Are you a fan of We Got Married? I am! I have been watching this show since Season 1 (2008) and although I don't like and watch every couple, I still enjoyed seeing the show. It is currently on its 4th season and although I love the new concept of a WGM Village, this season have been hit hard because of controversies and stuff so the first 3 couples were changed consecutively and replaced with new ones. MBC then tried their hand to make an international We Got Married (because there are a lot of foreign fans) so they created a Global Version wherein they made couples from Korea, Taiwan and Japan and it gets aired to many countries through the cable channels. Locally, it is aired through Animax but since I don't have an Animax channel in our cable subscription I just watched it online at WonderfulGeneration :)

THE COUPLES

Ok Taecyeon - rapper of Korean group 2PM (24y/o)
Gui Gui / Emma Wu - an actress from Taiwan (23y/o)

Lee Hong Ki - lead singer of Korean band FT Island (23y/o)
Fujii Mina - an actress from Japan (24y/o)

MY THOUGHTS:

I actually liked the concept of pairing a Korean singer and an actress from another country because it gave more dimension and opportunities for a story. They have different culture, working environment and views so you can really see how they adjust with each other. I also liked the fact that both couples were of marrying age because that's sometimes the problem with the Korean WGM -- They pair up very young idols (20-21 y/o) so it's not really realistic and viewers see them as "dating" instead of "married" which is what the show is supposed to be about. Anyway, there's no problem with the maturity too and viewers can enjoy the scenes without any awkward situations regarding skinship between the couple. They actually looked relaxed with each other and they progressed naturally throughout the episodes. The difference in language is also interesting to watch. Taecyeon and Gui Gui usually talks in English while Hong Ki and Mina talks in Korean and Japanese since both know how. The locations shown were also awesome! They were so beautiful and postcard perfect which added a more romantic feel to everything. Perfect backdrop :)

I only have two gripes about this Global Edition of We Got Married:
(1) This feels so scripted compared to the Korean version. Every scene and action lacks emotions and it felt forced. It's like the director said we should do this so I'll do this and your reaction will be this...that kind of feeling, you know what I mean? I guess because they don't meet regularly (like in the Korean version where they meet 2x a week to shoot) and doesn't communicate outside of shooting (they live in different countries), they lack the real feeling and it shows during filming. The language barrier, I believe, is a factor too which is very evident with Taecyeon and Gui Gui. Her English is not that good and she doesn't understand Korean that well so Taecyeon needs to talk very slowly in English as if talking to a kid. It made their relationship more like a father-daughter haha.

(2) This whole show is like one big advertisement for Samsung LOL! Really! After only one episode, I noticed it already and as I watch the following episodes it got more obvious. The cellphones are Galaxy Note 2, they uses Galaxy 10.1 tablets, they use smart TV and the most used is the galaxy camera and printer. It's like they kept on advertising every latest gadget Samsung is offering in the market. They even show and talk about the features of each gadget :(

OVER-ALL RATING: 3.5/5

I love the concept and the places shown but I still prefer the original We Got Married because this felt so scripted and there's too much screen time spent on promoting Samsung products. I started watching this for Taecyeon but I liked to watch Fujii Mina now because she and Hongki gives a more realistic couple feeling.

Fan Girl Moments: 2PM and CN BLUE Live in Manila 2013

As you all know, I'm a Kpop fanatic and I would definitely not miss a chance of seeing my favorite groups if ever they will have a concert here in the Philippines. I know that the life span of a Kpop group, on average, is less than 5 years so I don't want to risk it that they might not be coming back here again so I need to grab the chance as I can. I am also always hoping that I do have enough budget for a concert ticket whenever one of them is coming.

These last 3 years have been very good to me especially as a Kpop fan. A lot of groups (and even actors) have been coming here in our country to either promote or perform in a concert and I believe the list will keep on growing as a lot of these concerts have been almost if not sold out.

The last 2 Kpop groups who had a concert here were 2PM (March 2, 2013) and CN Blue (June 15, 2013). I have attended both of these concerts and those nights were really very memorable for me. I had come with my sister and we were so glad we did go because the performances were spectacular! They really go all out :)

WHAT TIME IS IT? 2PM LIVE TOUR

Highlights of the night:
- I rode a double-decker shuttle bus from the public transport terminal at MOA going to the MOA Arena for FREE! It's a free service to all the fans who will be watching the concert. It's so cool because it's the first time I get to ride one hehe :)
 - Our concert seats were very near the stage! I was able to see them up close and personal! Me and my sis got the Patron seats since we both didn't want to stand and get pushed around by people in the VIP section hehe We really made the best decision because we were able to see them real close and on eye level too :)
- Even though the sound system had some glitches in the first song, I was glad everything got fixed asap and the group's live performances went on smoothly after that. They were a really talented group and very professional too.

- The performance was spectacular! There were so many light effects and fireworks during the concert. It really helped pumped up the energy. I stayed up standing the whole evening because I can't stay still haha I screamed and sang and dance with the 2PM boys :)

- I appreciated the translated messages they placed at the background screen whenever the boys are talking. It was easier to understand them and we were able to respond to them too. I really think it made the concert more personal for us fans because they exerted some effort to reach out to us in our own language.

 - The only sad thing about the whole event is that it didn't get sold out. The concert was not promoted properly (shame on you HOOPLA!) and the buying period for tickets were only 1 month. Even the announcement of the concert itself was less than 2 months so there's no time to save up enough money especially since this was held only 3 months after the Kpop Fantsy Concert which a lot of Kpop fans attended. Another factor that I can think of is that they held a concert in a time during their hiatus. 2PM have not been promoting for 2 years so the number of their fans is not that many anymore compared to Big Bang and Super Junior. Luckily, the boys were still professional enough and had still performed with smiles and enthusiasm all throughout the night :)

I was only able to watch this because my ticket was a gift from my bf since he knows how much I love 2PM. I am forever grateful to him because he helped me fulfill one of my dreams :)

CN BLUE - BLUE MOON TOUR 2013

Highlights of the night:
- Even though I was only able to get an Upper B ticket, I was still happy about the fact that I was sitting in the center and in the front row. There's no one blocking my view and I can stay seated if I wanted to.

- My sis and I got jealous with the other fans and bought a light stick and cardboard binoculars haha It was so nice to see the whole audience area with blue lightsticks just like what I had watched of concerts on TV.

 - The CN Blue boys decided to talk to their fans in English and Tagalog! I really appreciated their effort even though I can't seem to understand some of the words they're saying hehe

- Yonghwa and Jungshin are really hyper that night. They kept on laughing and smiling and creating chaos. It was really fun to see the boys having such a great time.

- Jungshin and Minhyuk really displayed their great skills in playing their respective instruments! Holy moly! They are really good!

- The most memorable for me was when Yonghwa made a mistake and said "Singapore" and changed it quickly to "Philippines" haha that was epic because he looked sheepish and kept on saying sorry after that. He also tried to make amends by tweaking the last part of "See My Eyes" to "I love Philippines!" I really enjoyed that!  He also kept dancing the whole night and he looked so handsome :)

- The boys also surprised Yonghwa by singing Happy Birthday to him after talking to the fans in Tagalog (they were holding cue cards where they read sentences about their instructions to us) :)

- There were also fireworks and lots of light effects which looked so cool. Even the transition to 2nd act was great. Everything was well executed.

- CN Blue performed with energy and enthusiasm and you can really see that they were enjoying while performing :)

- They were able to fill up Araneta Coliseum! I do hope they come back again :)

OVER-ALL THOUGHTS:
I really had a great time in both concerts and I am really happy that I were able to share these very memorable moments with my sister. We are really close and I am happy that she is always willing to join me in my Kpop crazy moments haha :)

Kpop Update: Nichkhun for Bench

Happy Friday everyone!

Ben Chan Tweeted yesterday morning confirming that Nichkhun of 2PM is the newest addition in Bench's Global Trendsetter Endorsers together with Super Junior Siwon & Donghae, Lee Min Ho, Jessica Sanchez and Maroon 5 Adam Levine. I really admire Ben Chan because he knows which international endorsers to choose and when to use them. He knows that these celebrities have die-hard fans and he can earn big during contests periods hehe :)

Seriously, I can't believe it when I saw the tweet! Out of 2PM, Nichkhun is definitely my bias and I am just so happy he is the one they choose. I am already so excited to see him on their concert next week and now with this new endorsement, I know he will be having a fan meet too in the near future. I can't wait to see what kind of fan meet they will have for Nichkhun...if it's gonna be like with Siwon and Donghae or like with Lee Min Ho.  Either way, I will definitely join even if Bench products are crappy in quality. I'll probably end up buying undies this time because even if those fades after several washes, I can still wear them hehe :)

Here are the videos that Bench uploaded:

N (VIXX)

Female
G.Na
Yang Jiwon (Spica)
Yewon (Jewelry)
Eunyoung (Two X)

*My review for Season 1

OVER-ALL RATING: 4.5/5

This is definitely an entertaining program and I really believe it is not scripted because if it is, it wouldn't end like how it did. The casts really did follow what's on their hearts and decided to act accordingly. I love it!
I'm also happy that they edited this in a very nice way unlike with Season 1 which used a lot of repeating scenes to make it reach 8 episodes. I really believe 6 episodes is perfect for a 4 day dating show.

MY THOUGHTS:
Oh my gosh! All I can say is, this season is way different than the first! This felt more real too because the reactions and decisions doesn't seem scripted. Even the "final decision" is a surprise because of the ending for all the couples.

I am gonna warn you guys, again, if you haven't seen this Season yet, please feel free to watch it first then come back to see my review as this will contain spoilers for the show.

[SPOILER ALERT]

ZE:A Kevin is the only one who I think didn't get to shine in this show. He's too quiet and shy for a variety dating show. No one actually chose him as an option since he doesn't put any extra effort to show the one he likes that he likes her, although it never changed since the beginning. I don't think he is ready yet to be part in a show like this. I'm just sad coz this show could help him practice for real life as he doesn't have any experience in dating until now.

Eunyoung from TwoX is the youngest female in the cast and I believe she gained a lot of fans with her participation. I didn't know her but she stood out the most among the four females because of her character and personality. Although she is very young and shy, all her interview parts are hilarious and full of charms. if only she warmed up a little faster to the others, she would probably have a lot of votes from the men because her happiness is contagious. She doesn't whine too and use cutesy voice like Yewon does. I really love Eunyoung and I hope I can see her in lots of variety shows soon :)

N is also okay but I just get to see him because of Eunyoung so I don't think it showed any of his charms. I do liked the fact that he turned off the camera when he and Jiwon had dinner together because it showed that he wanted to have a private talk with her and get to know her better. I think that's the trigger why he decided to choose Jiwon in the end instead of Eunyoung.

I can't believe there's a 2nd Seungah in this season. Poor G.Na becoming a comfortable noona to all the guys and never looking at her as a possible "love interest". I think it is actually the fault of the casting director because they didn't consider putting an older man in the roll of casts. All of them are too young for the girls because majority of them are older by a couple of years. I hope if ever they make a Season 3, they will cast older guys instead to make it more balanced. So sad because she's really a cool chick and deserves someone who will cherish her more.

Jonghoon stood out among the men, because since day 1, he followed his heart and went to show Yewon that she's the one. Although a lot said bad things about him, I really think he is the only one who is really honest on what he feels and stuck by it. He said pre-recording that he likes Yewon and when he saw Yewon is part of the show, he really went all out in "courting" her and showing everyone that he genuinely likes her. I don't think it's his fault that even though he liked G.Na at first, it changed after seeing Yewon and his like for G.Na became that of a noona. It's also commendable that he was really honest about it and never lead the other girls on like what Minhyuk did. He also stayed as a real gentleman to G.Na when they date even though he doesn't like her romantically which JB didn't do in Season 1 with Seungah. He is really a man, in my opinion.

Jiwon is also daebak! Even though 2 men chose her for the final decision, she decided to stay single because her final choice is not included. I hoped Seungah was like that when JB chose her in the end because he felt sorry. Jiwon is really cool about all these and the ending was really unexpected which made me believe this is unscripted.

Yewon and Minhyuk are meant to be together. They both liked each other since the beginning and they got paired to almost all the shuffles in the season which is commendable. They are comfortable and looks like they really are having so much fun. It is also fun to watch them trying to like other people but always ends up choosing each other. So, yeah, I think these two have a chance of really dating in real life hehe...IU just hated that Minhyuk always try to fix his hair and looks at the camera. he is so narcissistic.

So yeah, overall, I think this is not as scripted as the first Season. The only couple pairing was Yewon and Minhyuk and everyone else ended up alone. I guess Eunyoung's "curse" got granted when she got sad that N didn't chose her or anyone for that matter. No one should cross Eunyoung LOL. Anyway, I think I will still watch Season 3 if ever they decided to go again. I just hope there's a balance in the age between guys and girls.

KPOP UPDATES: WGM JoonSeo Couple

Happy Thursday!
I decided to do a little timeline about We Got Married maknae couple - Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo.

SEPTEMBER 15, 2012
They became a "married couple" in We Got Married Season 4.
JoonSeo Couple were the last pair to join the cast for the new season and watching them start from being awkward to lovey-dovey is what endeared them to me. Their relationship is the most realistic for me as months went by because their treatment of each other really developed naturally and they seemed like they really liked one another personally.

DECEMBER 2012
They went on a honeymoon in Hawaii together with the other 2 WGM couples.

I really enjoyed watching those episodes because you can see genuine feelings between the two. They are the only one who took the extra effort to go out alone and bond so that they will have  more memories. I thought their skinship will definitely move faster after this honeymoon.

JANUARY 2, 2013
Oh Yeon Seo got caught up in a scandal with her on-screen drama partner Lee Jangwoo.
The two were caught hanging out together by paparazzi and a lot of news about them really dating caused havoc in both We Got Married and her drama "Oh Ja Ryong Is Coming". Although both sides denied the rumor about them dating, no once can refute the fact that it really made a huge negative impact on Oh Yeon So personally because the "aggrieved" party is Lee Joon who is an idol and have a huge fan base that supported him.

In my opinion, the positives went to the drama while a lot of negativity went to WGM due to the consequences it will have on the "on-screen marriage" she have with MBLAQ Lee Joon.

JANUARY 12, 2013

The first episode/meet up of Lee Joon and Oh Yeon So after the scandal. She explained the scandal to Joon and said sorry for the trouble it caused. There's a lot of tears especially during the backstage interview while Yeon Seo was speaking..BUT you will also notice that Joon really got hurt by this issue. He didn't truly smile and I believe he is just keeping up the appearance of being understanding for the show :(
After a lot of speculations from viewers, the two still decided to continue with their on-screen marriage and went on filming for WGM as usual.

January 14 onwards...

Some viewers are still complaining and rallying about the couple leaving the show. Some even demanded that Oh Yeon Seo should be removed because no one will believe anymore about their on-screen marriage.

Personally, they both look awkward after the scandal and you can really notice Joon not having fun anymore. It's actually painful to watch them trying hard to bring enjoyment to the show :(

JANUARY 30, 2013
News: JoonSeo Couple will leave We Got Married.

We Got Married producers released an official statement regarding the two. They said that it is now official that Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo will be leaving the show due to scheduling conflicts of the two actors with Joon having a movie, a drama and promotions with MBLAQ.

They have filmed their last episode already and will end their 5-month "marriage" on February 2 episode of WGM.

MY PERSONAL OPINION

I am glad and sad at the same time regarding this issue.

I am glad that Lee Joon will now have some free time to rest because he is really exhausted from all the work he is doing at present. He lost some weight and looks so tired so I am happy that his company removed him from this show already especially since he is not happy anymore. Not all company will take this extra step to care for their artist, and kudos to them for taking part of the blame that they did over worked Lee Joon lately with his jam-packed schedule.

I am sad because this couple started out good and ended up on a bad note. I am not blaming Oh Yeon Seo at all but I hope she took extra care and thought about all the possible repercussions of her actions. She not only destroyed her image to a lot of Kpop fans, but she also caused hurt to other people. Even if it's true that she is not dating Lee Jangwoo in real life, all the pictures taken of them will give another meaning. Not everyone will believe what you say because actions speaks louder than words in this case.

So in the end, We Got Married Season 4 will continue running with 2 couples for now until they find a new one. I hope it's another idol and actor mix because putting idol couples only will not make it attractive. I am really crossing my fingers that I will like the new couple because I am having a hard time liking the Kwanghee-Sunhwa couple because they look like they are just playing around...while Julien-SeAh couple is starting to bore me because Julien doesn't seem genuine with his feelings so it is kinda ruining the vibe for me. Also, since they get so little air time every week, I can't seem to learn to like them that much. Hopefully, these two couple can still hold my attention and rekindle my love for them especially the KangYoon couple.

Review: The Romantic and Idol Season 1

Happy Wednesday! I'm not sure if I can post tomorrow so I'm just gonna upload it today :)

SHOW: The Romantic and Idol Season 1
CHANNEL: tvN
EPISODES: 8
AIRING DATES: November 11 - December 30, 2012

AIRING TIMES: every Sunday

CAST:
2PM Jun K.
MBLAQ Mir
JJ Project JB
ZE:A Hyungshik
4Minute Jihyun
AOA Hyejeong
Fiestar Jei
Rainbow Seungah

PLOT:
"The Romantic and Idol" is a spin off from a tvN show called "Romantic" which featured non-celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes looking for love. For the first season of The Romantic and Idol, they have decided to ban the managers of the idols and let them date for 4 days and 3 nights at the romantic island of Jeju.

According to the representatives of the show, they wanted this to become a reality show featuring idols dating and want them to show their real emotions without the interference of their managers.

ENGLISH SUBBED VIDEOS: At Kshownow.net

MY THOUGHTS:

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'll like watching this show. I really waited every week for the episodes to get subbed by Kshownow because their English subtitle is the best. This is one of those Korean reality/variety show that you will really get into because they are never long winded. You'll know that the story will just spun for a couple of episodes so there's actually a lot of happenings per episode :)

You all know how I love watching We Got Married and this has the same feel as they both have celebrity casts getting together and pretending to be couples. The difference between the two is that with WGM, the couples have enough time to get to know each other first before having some sort of skinship, but with the Romantic and Idol, they only have 4 days and 3 nights and they get different missions like holding hands and back hugging to accomplish.. so it's a much faster paced dating show. They also have 4 choices in front of them and they will be able to date anyone depending on the result of the shuffle.

The pairing will be up to fate because they won't know which ones they will have a date with for the day until after they finished choosing-- there were shuffles everyday.

Example:
1) Necklace shuffle - the girls will choose one necklace each (prepared by the guys prior to the show) and whoever owns the necklace they chose will be their date for the day.

2) Clothes shuffle - the girls prepared a top for the guys to choose and the pairings will also based on who got which shirt.

I really liked the unpredictability because you'll never know who will be paired up with whom and if their feelings will change after changing partners. After watching the first season, I really believed it to be a reality show because it won't end that way if it's scripted.

I watched this at first because of 2PM's JunK. but I learned to appreciate all the casts after 1 episode. They are all very exciting to watch. This is definitely a fun show to indulge in every week.
I am now watching Season 2 and I am enjoying it too :)

OVER-ALL RATING: 4/5

This is a really fun thing to watch and I believe that whoever thought about this is daebak! It's a nice twist to the regular variety dating show shown in the TV. Can't wait to see more from this show! :)

SPOILERS ALERT!

I really hated JB after watching the whole 8 episodes. I liked him before this show but instead of endearing him to me with this participation, I ended up hating him and I don't think I'm the only one who got disappointed. I have read a lot of comments saying they were so disappointed with how JB acted and they got put-off with his attitude. I really didn't like how he treated Seungah, it was so immature and ungentleman. I don't care if he's young, because age is not a reason to disrespect someone. The guys in Season 2 is the same age as him and they treated the other girl with respect even though they don't like to have a date with them. I really hope no one will become the next Seungah in Season 2 because that girl really felt bad and alone that she cried due to sadness.

On a positive note, I really believe that Hyungshik-Jihyun and Mir-Jei got together after the show. You can notice that their feelings were real during the show and according to their members, they usually find those two grinning and too happy after going back from Jeju. Also, Hyungshik started learning how to drive so he can have his own car...Yeah, he is dating alright haha. An idol only gets himself a car if he wants to date so that he can hide it from his manager :)

Kpop Updates: IU and SuJu's Eunhyuk dating!

Have you guys seen the news? It's been trending on Twitter, Allkpop and the search engines. I'm even rewatching all their appearances together to check their interaction hehe :)

I can't believe it! I'm really shocked when I saw their picture...and it was kinda scandalous for a kpop idol just because Eunhyuk appears shirtless and IU is in her pjs. There's a lot of speculation from netizens that they seem like they were in bed together...What do you think?

IU is still young -- 20 y/o Korean age -- and her image is so innocent and pure so I guess this shocked a lot of people. I have read that young women who sleep with men at that young age is considered "slutty" in Korea so I'm worried about IU. I hope she can go through this scandal safely. I believe this will change the image IU built for herself because of the speculations. I'll be waiting for the change she'll have on her stage :)

I believe Eunhyuk is 29 or 30 26 years old (thanks to my reader for pointing out my mistake) so not that much difference. I'm not against their relationship and I'm happy for these 2... I'm just sad that their relationship became open because of this picture that IU accidentally posted in her Twitter (for just 2 minutes).

WGM: 1st Village Meeting (English Subbed)

Happy Monday everyone!

Have you watched the last 2 episodes of We Got Married Season 4 wherein they had their first village meeting? It was so hilarious and entertaining! Whoever thought of the concept "WGM Village" is definitely a genius. It was nice seeing the couples interact together on a regular basis unlike with the previous 3 seasons that they only interact every Chuseok  Special.

All the English subbed videos are credited to Kshownow subbing team :)

I directed you guys to their website because they do have adfly links to support their subbing team. They needed the budget to pay for their translators and to maintain their site. Don't worry, the adfly links are safe :)

Seriously, I am loving the KangYoon Couple so much because they are the most realistic for me. I believe these two have the highest chance of becoming a real couple after the show. They don't have pretenses and are very natural with each other. Also, Yoon Se Ah is definitely meant for variety shows. She doesn't act predictable and is so talented. Just see her dance. I really believe Se Ah's quirkiness is balanced out by Julien's seriousness (typical with all alpha males). Love them both!

BUT the life of the show is definitely the SunHee Couple. They bring so much energy and laughter in this season. They are the next Adam couple, definitely! Since they are friends, they are really comfortable with each other and they can do a lot of skinship..The only downside is, it's hard to believe they are a couple...they give off the vibe of being best buddies instead :)

My least liked couple is JoonSeo because they are kind of boring. Oh Yeon Seo is too serious and Lee Joon is still young and innocent. He is also always afraid and stuttering. Sometimes it's funny, but most of the time it's irritating to see all of his mistakes. I hope they improve soon.

Enjoy all the videos! Thanks for dropping by!

Drama Review: To The Beautiful You

Happy Friday everyone! So, one of the dramas that I've been watching lately, To The Beautiful You, just finished yesterday. And I wanted to post the review now while it is still fresh in my mind :)

TITLE: To The Beautiful You
GENRE: live action, comedy, gender-bender

AIRING PERIOD: August 16 - October 4, 2012

SYNOPSIS:
It is based on the Japanese shōjo manga series, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (For You in Full Blossom), written by Hisaya Nakajo. The Korean series is the fourth television adaptation of the manga following the Taiwanese Hana Kimi, the Japanese Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and its remake Hanazakari no Kimitachi e 2011.

It is a story about a Japanese girl (living in the US) named Ashiya Mizuki who went to Japan by herself and entered an all-boys school to see and encourage Sano Izumi, a popular high-jumper, to compete again.

CASTS:
Choi Sulli of F(x) as Goo Jae Hee /Ashiya Mizuki

MY THOUGHTS:

As I've said before, Hana Kimi is one of my favorite manga and this had been translated into live actions by Japan and Taiwan simultaneously years ago. Both live action adaptations garnered a huge fan base and the Japanese version (the original...I hate the remake) is my favorite because it is really fun to watch and and the way it was directed made it look like a live anime. I believe I watched that drama at least a dozen times already and I still enjoyed it. In short, I really have a very high emotional attachment with this story and I don't want to get disappointed.

I was actually skeptical to watch this Korean adaptation, To The Beautiful You, at first when I heard Minho of SHINee and Sulli of F(x) will be the main cast. Hyunwoo is a great actor so I know he will do well for his role as "Nakatsu" but I had doubts for Minho and Sulli because this is their first time acting and Sulli is too girly to pass as a boy. I just told myself to give it a chance and watch the first 2 episodes... If I don't like it, I'll just pass this up like what I did with the remake Japan made last year. Luckily, I liked how Sulli turned out so I followed this drama every week.

The last episode was aired yesterday and the English subbed version got released today so I was able to watch it already. All I can say is, this is really a good drama. It did not disappoint and I liked how the director wrapped everything up. Everyone has a happy ending and I am glad they didn't copied anything from the Japan and Taiwan versions. The Korean version created their own adaptation based on the manga itself so it gave To The Beautiful You a uniqueness of its own and it became a must watch live action for fans of Hana Kimi.

This version focused on the friendship between Goo Jae Hee - Kang Tae Joon - Cha Eun Gyeol and also the rivalry between Tae Joon and Hyeon Jae. There's no excessive competitions like in the Japanese version...they just used the important ones like the Miss Genie competition and also the high jump events. Dorm 1 and 3 are also not as important as with the Japanese version because TTBY were more focused on the Dorm 2 activities and characters.

I think I prefer this version of Sano Izumi portrayed by MinHo because he really became playful and caring and full of life once he accepted that he likes Goo Jae Hee as a girl and not as his roommate. I also prefer the ending because it had closure to everything :)

I'll stop my review here so that I won't give out spoilers. Do check this drama out if you liked Hana Kimi, Coffee Prince and You're Beautiful.

OVER ALL RATING: 5/5
Definitely a must watch! I really don't get it why this got a low rating in Korea. The acting is great and has a very light storyline so everyone in the family can watch this. Although it did not garnered a lot of local support, this definitely received a lot of love from international fans like me. I hope SM Entertainment decides to create a Youtube Special for this just like what they did with Playful Kiss who also had the same fate hehe :)

Faith is still ongoing (1 more month to go) and the subbing for When Love Walked In is still not done (only until Episode 15 as of October 4) so I'll probably watch The Panda and The Hedgehog (where Donghae of Super Juinor is the lead actor) every Wednesday and Thursday to replace To the Beautiful You timeslot hehe.

What about you? What's the current drama you are watching?
